Selection procedure:
Candidates who wish to apply at SBI as a PO are required toregister online for the recruitment procedure. The exam will be held in twophases - preliminary and main. The candidates who qualify in preliminaryexamination will qualify for the main examination and shortlisted candidates inthe main examination will be called for a group discussion and interview.
Eligibility Criteria
§ Qualification: The candidates applying for SBI PO 2017 must have graduate in any discipline froma recognized university or equivalent qualificationrecognized as such by the Central Govt.
§ Age: The candidates’ age must have between 21 and 30 years as on 1st April 2017. The relaxation in upper agelimit will be given to reserved categories as per the reservation norms of theIndian Govt.

Preliminary Examination: phase 1
§ The Preliminary Exam wouldbe Objective type for 100 marks & will be conducted online.
§ Duration of exam would be 1hour.

The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with 50 marks will be a Test of
English Language (Letter Writing & Essay). The candidates are required to qualify in the Descriptive
Test by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank. |
Penalty for Wrong Answers
(Applicable to both –Preliminary and Main examination) Each question for which a wrong answer hasbeen given by the candidate, one-fourth (1/4)of the marks will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.
